Our Team

MIKE COOPERSTEIN

Coop has been an avid climber, ski patrol and mountain guide for over 20 years. With expeditions to Spain, Italy, France, Chile, Peru, Vietnam and Thailand he has climbed in almost every continent. Coop has many first ascents of rock and ice, and several first ski descents in Montana and Alaska. Coop has been the owner and one of the senior guides for Montana Alpine Guides in Bozeman, Montana for 7 years . He currently lives in Boulder, CO, where he also works as forecaster at the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Not only a guide, Coop has a Masters in Snow Science, and he is an avalanche and wilderness medical educator.

Juan Pablo Villagra

JUAN PABLO VILLAGRA

Juan was born and raised in Argentina and he lives in Bariloche. For the last 20 years, he has guided and climbed extensively worldwide. His major climbing achievements are unforgettable experiences in mountains like Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy, El Capitan, the Tetons, Aconcagua and the ice waterfalls of Montana. The climbing challenges and a full contact with the elements keeps leaving him a permanent mark and a solid bond with many friends and clients.

FEDERICO ARLETTI

Federico was working as an international certified guide sinche 2008. He spends his time guiding between Bariloche and Chamonix. He is also an mountain guide courses Instructor for the AAGM (Asociación Argentina de Guías de Montaña), since 2001. Federico speaks spanish, english and french.

Gianni

GIANNI CAPANO

Based on the patagonia town of El Bolson, Gianni is rarely at home. During the southern hemisphere summer, he is guiding in Aconcagua, where he is one of the most experienced and renowned guides. In winter, he´s the head guide of Baguales Mountain Reserve. He has guided all around the world, learning to speak fluent English and German.

MERCEDES SAHORES

Mercedes, also known as “Teti”, is a Mountain Guide, Ski Instructor and Backcountry Ski Guide.
As an athlete, she participated on the World Championship of Backcountry ski racing, the Eco Challenge in New Zealand and numerous competitions of adventure racing around the world.
As a mountaineer, Teti became the first Argentinean woman to summit Everest and had climbed Aconcagua several times.
Mercedes also has a degree in Biology, specialized in Ecology. She lives in Bariloche.

Tomas

TOMAS AGUILO

Tomy was born and raised in Bariloche, where he started skiing at the age of five and developing his passion for the mountains. He´s a full certified IFMGA/UIAGM guide based in Chalten for more tan 10 years.
His job has taken him to the Himalayas, Europe and throughout the Andes. Tomas is one of the most prolific alpinists in Argentina, having done eight ascents to Fitz Roy, two summits of Cerro Torre and several ascents to the peaks around Chalten.

CONSTANZA TORO DEL SOLAR

Constanza grew up as a ski racer and freeskier in Chilean southern Patagonia, now a days lives in Frutillar, a small town in northern Patagonia surrounded by Chilean Volcanoes. During south American winter you can find her teaching avalanche courses and climbing mountains/skiing either in Patagonia or Central Andes. She is now going through the ski guide program at AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association). She has skied in different parts of the world including Alaska, Canada, Kashmir and all over Patagonia. This year she joins Andes Mountain Guides as a Ski tail guide.

Constanza
Roberto

ROBERTO INDIO TREU

Indio was born and raised in San Juan, where he started climbing at the northern and central Andes. Since 2005 he lives in Chalten, where he has climbed all the fourteen main summits of the Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre ranges, some as impressive first ascents.

He is an IFMGA/UIAGM certified guide specializing on technical ascents in Patagonia.
